This scan of paint chips was provided by Mark Hazzard who has visited Israel on several occasions. 
It is interesting to see that the colour has basically become darker over time.   Now it is important to realize that the colour viewed here are 1:1 scale and that a model in 1/35 scale to be viewed from this distance would need to be lighter (see scale colour)
