DIAMOND T.JPG (284334 bytes) A World War 2 M20 Diamond T prime mover and an M19 Rogers trailer moving an M4A1 Sherman in IDF service in the late 1940s or early 1950s.  These tank transporters were used unmodified for many years.  These vehicles have been photographed as late as 1967 and moving T54 tanks.   By 1967 these vehicles were definitely not front line tank transporters.   Images have been sighted that show a Centurion being loaded onto a Rogers trailer as late as 1959 (well past its use by date).
TT OLD.JPG (211419 bytes) Prime mover unknown type, possibly a commercial carrier used as an expedient.  Standard IDF lowbed tank transporter trailer with M51 on board.

The prime mover is a 1960s Autocar C Series (George Bello/Guy Rodin)

TT M51.JPG (351504 bytes) An armoured unit loading up to move to the front (circa 1967).

The prime mover in the background is a MACK with a "B" series cab and was produced from the Mid 1950s up to about 1965.  The truck is equipped with a "Moose Killer" front mad out of diamond plate steel (George Bello)

TT ARTY.JPG (247580 bytes) A Mack DM 800 prime mover with standard IDF tank trailer carrying a 130mm M46 field gun somewhere in Lebanon.  (Guy Rodin)
Mack895.jpg (81319 bytes) A Mack 895 prime mover towing a standard IDF tank trailer in the Golan in the winter.  The tank is a Merkava II.
volvofh16.jpg (66102 bytes) Volvo FH 16 Prime mover.  It appears that the IDF is using a wider range of commercially produced prime movers (contributed by Leif Nielsen )
