IDF Centurions

These photos were taken at Latrun, Israel in early 1998 and cover several marks of IDF Centurion.  More photos will be added over time as copyright clearances are arranged.  All contributions welcome. (Cheers, Gardoski)

	A general side view of a late Centurion as shown by the Vidco thermal sleeve around the barrel, Tal commander's cupola, armoured US type air cleaner boxes and the diesel engine deck.  note that the smaller side stowage bins have been relocated to the rear.
	Another general view at Latrun.  A standard 105mm gun, 10 shot smoke dischargers just behind the mantlet and rear turret basket.  Same diesel engine deck and armoured air filter boxes.

	Turret top of a Centurion. Good view of the Tal cupola, aerial bases, swivel machine gun base.  Other points to note is the armoured searchlight socket and the blanked off original smoke discharger.  At the bottom of the picture is the mounting points for Blazer armour.   Note the standard .30 calibre machine gun mount on the commander's cupola.   Special note is that the loaders hatch points towards the centre of the turret and represents an unmodified roof plate from an early Centurion.
	Good view of a later (engine cowl) engine deck taken from the turret.  The item hanging off the turret basket is a jerry can holder.
	Slightly closer view of the left side of the same vehicle.  Note turret front and glacis plate Blazer armour attachment points.  Note that this vehicle (as most of them) still have the standard front opening side stowage bins.
