Thierry has scartchbuilt the Puma and in the finished model it should be noted that he has made a rear mounted mortar as well.  Very well done.

These where the first two models (Puma and Merkava) I'd attempted since I was 16 / 17.   Both kits where a lot of work, but other than some incurable warps, I think they've turned out OK.  I scratchbuilt the side skirts for both ( the kit items where terrible )  The FN Mags are a combination of BLAST and LEGEND items ( very nice ! )  Both also have FRUIL tracks.

 On the Puma, Ii had to scratchbuild the chin armour on the front glacis plate, the 60mm mortar mount, all the hatches, the Rafael OWS and the spare track link brackets.

 Both models where painted with Vallejo Model Air (nice paint ! ) I mixed up different colour intentionally as I don't want any two models to have the same colour. Oil washes followed and then dry brushing and pigments (new to me as well... ).  All the markings are a combination of Versioned and hand painted.  I just taken delivery of some resicast '' lenses'' and will be adding them as well. I also used various etch kits for specific bits such as fire extinguisher mounts etc.

The model is the kit produced by AEF Designs and is a complete kit.  My model did not come with any running gear and after repeated requests I gave up and added Merkava I suspension units but retained the Centurion drive and idler.  Not being sure whether the Puma came with Merkava Track as well I need up putting the Centurion track and hence the retained Cent drive and idler.
